Can You See What I See? ... in Your Store Window
May 14, 2008
To
celebrate the publication of On a Scary Scary Night (Cartwheel Books),
the sixth book in Walter Wick's Can You See What I See? series, Scholastic Inc.
and the American Booksellers Association are teaming up to sponsor the Can You
See What I See? store window contest.
For the fall 2008 contest, participating bookstores will
choose a classroom in a local school with grades three through six and work
together to create a tabletop or window display set inspired by the Can You
See What I See? series. The winning store/classroom will receive a Scholastic
and ABA-sponsored in-store pizza party and a visit from Walter Wick.
Four runners-up classrooms and stores will each receive a
set of signed Can You See What I See? books.
To participate, booksellers must e-mail the name and address of the their bookstore,
plus the name and grade of the participating school to Walter_Wick@scholastic.com
by October 1. By October 15, stores will receive a packet of promotional materials,
including a Can You See What I See? On a Scary Scary Night poster with reproducible
activities and a video interview with Walter Wick.
