NEBA Board Announces Resignation of Rusty Drugan
On August 11, the Board of Directors of the New England Booksellers Association (NEBA) announced, with regret, the resignation of NEBA Executive Director Rusty Drugan due to health considerations. Drugan's resignation will not become effective until NEBA has named and trained his successor, which the regional expects to happen sometime after its September trade show.
The announcement, which went out via the NEBA listserv, said, "Because there is so much to be done before the trade show, we and Rusty ask that you not call or e-mail the office, between now and the show, to express concern or best wishes. Your forbearance will enable Nan [Sorensen, NEBA associate executive director] and Rusty to devote all their energies to preparation for the show."
On behalf of everyone at the American Booksellers Association, COO Oren Teicher said, "We send Rusty all best wishes."
